The Scars are not just Skin Deep at The Cob Gallery, London
July 9-19, 2014
This group show was curated by artist Mia Pfeifer in support of the victims of acid attacks across the world. In her home country of Colombia, Mia's friend became the victim of such an attack so she put together this exhibition in order to raise awareness of this terrible crime and help survivors like her friend. The show supports the charity Acid Survivors Trust International. Mia invited many artists to exhibit or make new works, including myself and photographer Jessy Boon Cowler.
For The Scars are not just Skin Deep we decided to merge our interests in still life, photography, and image manipulation and created a diptych of digital c-type prints on photo rag.
