Ellie Geary (b.1988) is a visual artist from the East Midlands, based in West Yorkshire, UK. Addressing themes of environment and the human experience, her current works depict abstract shapes and plant-like forms inspired by the invisible forces that affect life on earth. By working in series and often sequentially, she is developing a mode of visual storytelling informed by her interest in science fiction, symbolism, and natural phenomena.
In 2010, she graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a First Class degree in Fine Art. Ellie has since exhibited work across the UK including group shows at Sunny Bank Mills, Leeds (2019), Delphian Gallery, London (2018), and Cob Gallery, London (2014). She participated in an artist residency programme at Space One Gallery, Seoul in 2016. Currently working from a home studio in Leeds.
