Built Environments is a series of paper collages made between 2012 and 2016.
To start with, I selected some pages from a French pamphlet on castles which I had found nestled between the pages of another publication. In direct contrast to the matt and monochrome pages, I added colourful glossy cutouts from contemporary books and magazines to bring activity to each of the pictures with imagery based on some of the most common human fears.
