Camberwell Arts Festival

For Camberwell's 19th Arts Festival, I was selected to create a site-specific installation outside St. Giles Church. The process began with a "Lucky Dip". Local artists were assigned their locations for the project at random. I drew out the Churchyard. My installation (details shown below) uses reclaimed wood (with some panels wrapped in fabrics) to mimic the interior space of the church.

With a rose garden and flowers growing nearby, I used an image from a book as well as the book cover to draw attention to the natural environment and, given the location, as a subtle reference to scripture in religious faith.
